“ Mr: Ian Turton Richard, Project Manager an expert from our Tenneco Automotive India Pvt. Ltd., is being deputed to lead a project under progress at our Hosur plant. On Friday 18th May 2012, when he was back from office he informed the car driver Mr: Saravanan to pick his friend Mr: Michael David John Easton an another expert at Indiranagar, Bangalore at 6 am. They left the hotel Lord’s Plaza, Bangalore towards Muthathi.
After boarding into the car they were giving directions to the car driver using their hand map and GPS system. Finally they took the drop at Muthathy forest area in Mandya district, Karnataka state. Mr: Ian Turton Richard directed the driver to go back and report to the hotel on Monday, 21st May 2012 at 7am as regular.
From there on Mr: Ian Turton Richard and his friend entered into the Muthathy forest area. We have been informed by the driver that they were carrying a big travel bag in which he has also seen a air boat and few life jackets.

Immediately the driver informed the travel agency owner Mr Murthy and also informed the HR department of Tenneco Pvt. Ltd., Mr: Ravi Kumar Hosur, Tamilnadu.
Immediately after receiving the message the HR of Tenneco Pvt. Then we called up the driver and we started our “Own Search” with our department colleagues since 10 a.m Monday 21st May 2012.
We have approached the Forest Ranger Mr Sukumar at Denkanikottai, Tamilnadu and informed about the above scenario and sought their support in finding the where about’s of Mr: Ian Turton Richard and Mr: Michael David John Easton. They have contacted the nearby forest range authorities and conveyed the message to inform them, if any such traces.
Then we travelled the same route which Mr: Ian Turton Richard has taken on Saturday to reach the Muthathy forest area. We walked few k.m.s inside the forest and we could not locate him, hence we returned back and approached the Forest range authorities at Sathanur in Ramanagar district.
As per the directions of above and the advice of the Police officials of Sathanur, since the Muthathy forest area is under the jurisdiction of Halgur Police Station in Mandya district, now we approached the Halagur Police to help us in this regards”
Mr: Ian Turton Richard being a foreign national he used to travel / outing during weekends.
